How to plan a year of travel, working in the office

Is it possible to travel if there are only two vacations in a year, one of which is reserved for giving and trips to relatives, and the second is for alternately lying on the beach and in the bar? You can – if for the holidays, which are enough in the year, do not lie on the couch, but pack your bags. We checked the production calendar and made a travel plan for the whole year – not only for Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also for remote regions.

General tips

  • Obviously, but – check the weather and water / air temperature in the country you are going to. Israel is warm most of the year, but if you plan to spend two weeks on the beach, it is better to choose late spring, not winter.
  • Check the “direction” and the number of days that you have. It makes no sense to fly to Tai for three days, but you can have a great time in Prague or Seoul.
  • Consider local weather conditions, such as the Vietnamese rainy season, which runs from July to September and will force you to spend your entire vacation indoors.
  • Start tracking ticket prices immediately, as you decide on the direction, but take your time with the purchase. Sign up for price reduction alerts and buy tickets when the offer seems especially profitable. The purchase deadline is a month and a half before the trip: then the price can both decrease or rise even more – and in the end you will be left completely without a trip.
  • Find a balance between ticket price and flight time. Yes, transfer tickets can be much cheaper – but if you are leaving somewhere for the weekend, it becomes unprofitable to spend 14 hours on airplanes and airports. It’s better to overpay, but calmly fly from point A to point B in three to five hours.

Hungary, Budapest

Warm European winter with a local analogue of mulled wine on rum, called “krambambuli”, decorated with streets, castles, desserts and hot springs in the city center.

Slovakia, Bratislava

A small European city in which you, even with a small budget, will feel like kings. Three days is enough to go around the whole of Bratislava on foot, try all the local tinctures, liqueurs and plum brandy, overeat with cheese and honey gingerbread.

France Paris

Romantic holidays – romantic destinations. Flowers that are not frozen by carriage, desserts and champagne. The mild temperature will allow you to feel special joy from the fact that you got out of Moscow, and roaming will save you from endless photos of bouquets in social networks.

Norway, Oslo

In May, a period begins in Oslo when you do not want to die from the cold – and that’s great! To the fjords it is worth running away from the patriotic feelings of compatriots: in four days you will not go broke, but imbued with the Scandinavian way of life.

Belarus, Minsk

Well, you understand the irony, huh? In Minsk you can find local art spaces, a botanical garden and even a fur seal museum – the capital, after all! Be sure to try the tincture “Belovezhskaya” and local chocolate – it has a taste of “childhood”.

Russia, Murmansk

Why fly to Murmansk in November? To try to catch the aurora, of course. The odds are about 50 to 50 – you can either get lucky with the weather or not. But you will visit the Arctic Circle! Take a warmer park, and better – take a fur coat from mom.

Summer months – vacation

Montenegro is more interesting than Turkey, but cheaper than Italy – ideal for summer holidays. Among the resorts there is something suitable for everyone: for those who like to talk, for those who hate other people, and even for nudists!

Austria Vienna

The Austrians are doing everything so that even those who hate winter love it. Hot chocolate, desserts, good meat dishes and wine – and life becomes easier. Vienna in winter is very beautiful.

Belgium, Brussels

Get away from gender stereotypes and go to the bottom in Bruges – from Brussels to him an hour by train. You can not go to bed, but just go to museums, studying the Antwerp school of painting – and the Belgian school of beer.

Denmark, Copenhagen

Travel time (with one change): approximately 4 hours

What is there in Denmark? Queen, nordic and puffs. If you hurry, you will have time to book a table in the legendary Noma at the beginning of March (and save money for dinner).

Sweden

Everything blooms in April in Stockholm, and the hearts of the locals thaw – so it’s better not to find time. Go to the places where Carlson lived, spend a day in the Gruna Lund amusement park and buy from local independent brands.

Sounds great

Karelia, Petrozavodsk

Travel time (with one change): 4 hours 20 minutes (but better by train or car)

Do not linger in the city – in it you will not find forests and lakes. So take a tent and a sleeping bag, take an electric train or a ride and leave for the woods. The main thing is not to forget the way back.

Iceland, Reykjavik

In November, St. Petersburg is becoming especially vile – and will remain until about May. Departing the inevitable will help a bit to leave for Reykjavik with perfectly clean air and thermal pools. Let and not for long.

Summer months – vacation

Spain, Barcelona

The first rule of travel to Spain: do not take tickets for July and August. The second rule – sacredly honor the siesta and do not leave the bar – if you do not dream of a sunstroke. The third rule is to wear a panama hat and sunscreen. Fourth – hang out half to death, you are in Spain!
